Bryker Woods was established in the 1930s to 1950s. It originally consisted of one-story wooden cottages, mostly three-bedroom or less. Today, those cottages still remain, mixed in with some newer homes. Despite the growth of the city around it, the neighborhood retains its original, quiet, suburban feel.
